Hebron Baptist Church

Senior deacon, Mr. Anthony Standing gave the usual warm welcome to worshippers and to the speaker Mr. Francis Maull and his wife Ann. Mr. Standing gave thanks to God for His unfailing goodness. Even in time of economic difficulty we can give thanks and remember those who live in countries where they have no job, no home or  finance. Mr. Standing gave thanks for the five children now being sponsored through individuals and groups within the fellowship.

Mr. Maull read from Esther 4 v11-17. The musicians were Miss Helen Standing (piano) and Rebekah Chatwin (flute). The welcome steward was Mrs. Janet Roberts. Mrs. Standing continued the theme of forgiveness from last week's speaker.

This Sunday at 11 am, the speaker will be Rev. John Hendy, of Ukraine Christian Ministries. The young people will have activities in the hall during the message. Tuesday Club is 6-7.30 pm. On Wednesday  from 10.30 am, Christmas shoeboxes will be filled.

Rotary Club

Antiques Fair

The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot is holding an antiques fair at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot, on Sunday, October 26.

The fair opens at 10 am and finishes at 4 pm.

Admission is £1 (children free), with all proceeds going to the Rotary charities.

There will also be a prize raffle which will be drawn at the end of the day. Refreshments will be available and there is also an outdoor children's play area.

All available stalls were booked well in advance so the hall will be well-stocked with antiques.

METHODIST CHURCH

The theme for the service on Sunday, taken by Clear Reflections, was 'all are invited'. The gospel reading from Matthew 22, verses 1-13, was the parable of the king's wedding feast. The invited guests all refused to go, so the king sent his servants to bring everyone in, good or bad, from the streets, for the feast.

The guests would all have been given wedding clothes to wear, but the king saw one was not wearing them and had him thrown out into the street. Is this parable saying that everyone good or bad is invited and if they accept Jesus (the clothes?) they will be welcome into heaven. But if they do not accept Jesus as saviour they will be thrown out?

On Sunday morning at 11 am, the service will be led by Deacon Janet Jenkins. All are welcome.

THOMAS MEMORIAL CHURCH

The communion service this Sunday, at 11 am, will be conducted by Pastor Peter Morgan.
