The 2nd XI, playing at home to local rivals Kilgetty 2nd XI, faired better. Kilgetty won the toss and put Saundersfoot in first. Saundersfoot lost their first two wickets for 11 runs, however, a partnership of 57 between Chris Hawkes and Joe Kidney brought them back into the match. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals and their innings closed with the score on 138. Highest scorer was Chris Hawkes (37), backed up by Mr. Extas (34), Grant Hardy (22 n.o.) and Toby Smith (17). Wicket takers for Kilgetty were Rob Beynon 3-31, Richie Gwyther 2-26, Josh Bevan 2 -29 and there were three run-outs. The Kilgetty innings started disastrously, losing two wickets in the first four overs. Good bowling from Saundersfoot kept the Kilgetty batsmen under pressure and wickets tumbled.
