POOL

The Narberth league team were at home on Thursday to league leaders, the Whitland Dairy Club. It looked good for the Saundersfoot team when they took a 4-1 lead, but the class of the Whitland team pegged them back to 4-4. In the final and deciding game, Whitland scraped home to win 5-4. The Tenby league side came back to earth following their win last week when they lost 5-2 to the Diggers 'C'. Keith Hallem lost his masters game, but still leads the masters league, with the final game next week against the Sun, Tenby.

SNOOKER

Tenby County Club were the visitors in the Jimmy Allen Cup on Monday. The format is two singles and two doubles. The County Club took a 64-point lead in the first singles, with Mark Cleevely beating Richie Preece. Charlie Davies and Chappie Harries pulled back 30 points in the first doubles. In the next singles, Dickie Parcell also pulled back 19 points. In the final game of doubles, the County Cub held a lead of 23 points. Steve Cook then knocked in a break of 25 for the Tenby side, but Steve Davies hit back with a fine break of 59 for Saundersfoot. The game was nip and tuck until the final black. Glyn Davies for the County Club potted the black, but unfortunately went in off the white and so handed the match to Saundersfoot.

DARTS

The 'A' team lost at home to the Kilgetty Sports Club 5-4 and are away to table-topping Greenbridge Inn this Friday. The 'B' team came away from the Cross Inn with a 5-4 win after being 4-3 down. Wayne Williams won the second doubles with a fine 83 finish and the match was won when Simon Stanford hit the winning double in the last game. They are at home this Friday to the White Horse 'B'.

FOOTBALL

The 1st XI gained an impressive victory against league leaders Pembroke Boro. The Boro were undefeated in the league since September, which made the 2-0 scoreline to Saundersfoot even more creditable. The 2nd XI were not so fortunate when they lost 3 -1 to Pembroke Boro 2nd XI after taking a 1-0 lead.
