Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club held a match on Sunday at Saundersfoot beach, sponsored by Mandy and Dai, of The Old Chemist Inn, Saundersfoot. Twenty anglers competed, with 11 weighing in flounder. Tony Knowles caught a bass of 44cms, which just isn't up to our standards. Who enticed the seal onto the beach? It is not on the WFSA minimum size list.
Many thanks to the sponsors, the sandwiches went down a treat after standing on the beach for five hours. And the beer!
And Terry Hunt, with all limbs intact, should be thanking Tony 'one leg' O'Toole for rescuing him and his tackle from a watery grave.
This week's winners were: 1. Mel Matthews with a flounder of 699g (10 points and £100); 2. Tony O'Neill with a bag of 1.100kg (eight points and £50); 3. Rob Beynon with a bag of 1.067kg (six points and £20); 4. and top lady angler - Wendy Griffiths with a bag of 654g (four points and £10).
The Golden Peg draw was number 34, Rob Harrison, who didn't trouble the scorers. No winner again, the rollover continues!

Sunday, December 6 - Newgale Beach. Sign on at the car park (on the left when coming from Haverfordwest) by 2.30 pm, fishing 3 - 7 pm, weigh in back at the car park by 7.30 pm prompt.
Sunday, December 13 - Tenby North Beach. Sign on at Butts Field car park 8.15 - 8.30 am, fishing 9 am - 1 pm, weigh in at BB's by 2.30 pm prompt.
Sunday, December 20 - Fur and Feather, followed by the annual raffle at the Sports Club. Sign on at the Sports Club car park 11.15 - 11.30 am, fishing 12.30 - 5.30 pm, weigh in at SSSC by 6.30 pm prompt.
Singles KO final details to date, with only three matches to decide the winner: Tony Knowles (one point) v Tony O'Neill (8).
