The penultimate points match of the season confirmed this year's top rod - Jon Brace. Congratulations to Jon who had a fine second half of the season.

The last match was scheduled for Freshwater East, but clashed with another match, the venue was transferred to Lydstep beach. Eleven anglers competed, but only Jon Brace brought any fish to the scales, a plaice of 400g (£30 and 10 points).

The Golden Peg is still unclaimed. The last two drawn were Alan Dowler and Alan Carrier, neither of whom fished. The rollover is now enough to buy more than seven euros.

Fur and Feather match on Sunday, December 28 - as stated above, the match is to be followed by the annual raffle in the Sports Club. This raffle is open to anyone, not just club members. Thanks must go to Lee Hart and Tony Knowles for their hard work contacting local businesses and requesting their support in the form of prizes for the raffle - and especially to every business that has supported Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club with their generous donations. It has hardly been a year of plenty for them, with a poor summer season, followed by the tough economic climate currently being experienced. At the time of writing, over 60 businesses have helped, giving some 80 prizes. They are a mixed bag of prizes attractive to all - please buy raffle tickets from the sources in the village.

Club meetings are held at the Sports Club on the first Wednesday of every month at 8 pm.

Following Scoop's return from Essex, the Chemist Cup top three were: 1. Lee Hart; 2. Terry Hunt; 3. Tony O'Neil.
