Plans have been submitted for an extension and refurbishment scheme at Saundersfoot CP School. Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking permission for an extension of six classrooms and refurbishment of the Early Years wing, removal of redundant sheds, incinerators and portakabins and new fencing, trees and landscaping scheme at the site in Frances Lane. Said a spokeswoman for Pembrokeshire County Council: "This popular school which serves the Saundersfoot coastal area has seen a significant rise in pupil numbers over the last few years. "It is proposed to provide a six classroom extension, internal refurbishment and the removal of two mobile classrooms. "The project is at design stage and subject to confirmation of Welsh Assembly Government funding." The application has been submitted to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
