Sail Training
The taster session had a 100 per cent success rate. All the potential trainees have signed up for sail training. The weather was glorious, although we could of done with a little more wind! A good time was had by all. Meanwhile, the final week of the six-week improver course was held. Although very little sailing was done and more alternative methods of propulsion had to be used, a good time was had by all, particularly during Saundersfoot's first sailing frisbee match with the RIB. The improvers that are under 18 will now be returning for the CYRC tomorrow (Saturday). Can all competitors and helpers please meet at the clubhouse at 9.30 am.
CYRC
The club will be hosting the club youth racing circuit this weekend, with competitors travelling from all over Pembrokeshire. This is one of a series of events which are taking place throughout Pembrokeshire to encourage youth racing. Sunday's Race
All competitors took to the water in anticipation of two races. However, after paddling out of the harbour and then to the start line, it was agreed by all competitors and the OOD to abandon, but only after a little sunbathing was enjoyed by all. After the race was abandoned, true to Pembrokeshire weather, a little breeze came in and most of the sailors went for a jaunt towards Wisemans before going in for some well-earned lunch! This Sunday, there will be two races, with the first starting at 4.30 pm.
