This weekend is the annual Dinghy Regatta with the race around Caldey Island on Sunday.
We have, within the regatta, the Flying Dutchman Championships that will continue into Monday morning, then a club race on Monday afternoon, so a busy weekend for us all.
Regatta details are as follows:
Registration: Saturday 11 am to 1.30 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm; Sunday 8. 30 am to 9.30 pm.
Racing: Saturday - two races back-to-back starting at 2.30 pm; Sunday - around St. Margaret's and Caldey Island. Briefing in the clubhouse at 9. 30 am and the race starts at 10.30 am.
On Saturday evening, there will be a barbecue at the clubhouse. Check out the clubhouse for further information.
Everyone welcome to join us in the clubhouse throughout the weekend, and also on Monday.
SOCIAL SCENE
Don't forget that the bar is also open on Saturday night throughout August and into September, as well as the usual Friday night and Sunday lunchtime.
Having had successful '60s Night' and 'Fishing Night' recently, the programme is being continued with an 'Allo 'Allo theme evening on Saturday, September 6. There will be a chance to dress in some appropriate clothing and French food will be available.
Again on Saturday, September 20, the fun continues with a Hawaiian evening with Hawaiian food and music - another chance for dressing up.
We are looking to have a day's surfing lesson for a group, so if you fancy this let Gemma know.
Should you have any enquiries regarding any of the social events please contact Gemma on 813414.
PHANTOM NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
With just a short break, we will then be into these championships that run from Friday August 29 to Sunday August 31.
Do join us in the clubhouse over that weekend, and if you would like to help in some way please contact Trevor on 811235.
See you around the clubhouse.
