Last weekend all was quite quiet around the Sailing Club as several of our members attended Tenby Sailing Club's annual Regatta. Thanks to TSC for a great weekend.
This weekend it is back to normal at Saundersfoot with Sail Training tomorrow as follows:
Improvers (now 'Saturday Club') from 9 - 11 am; new 'Beginners' from 11 am - 1 pm; Beginners (now 'Improvers') from 1 - 3 pm.
Sunday racing is back on again with two races starting at 1 pm.
WHIST
Last Monday, the club was again a hive of activity and prizes were awarded as follows:
Highest score - W. Leigh; first lady - P. Quinsee; second lady - E. Jones; first gent - E. Sutcliffe; second gent - D. Tingle; lowest score - Y. Tingle; longest sitter - F. Buckley.
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS
Anyone who wants to learn more about racing skills and tactics should come along to the clubhouse at about 5.30 on Wednesday evenings when there will be on and off water activities.
NOTES
Please check out the revised proposed plan for the building work that is on display in the clubhouse; this is hopefully the final draft so we hope everyone is happy with it.
Don't forget the Building Fund, our treasurer will gladly accept your donations at a time convenient to you.
Our Cruiser Regatta is being held on July 21/22 and after the race on the Saturday there will be a BBQ at the clubhouse for anyone who wishes to attend.
We are looking for volunteers to help in the clubhouse during the Lark Nationals that are being held at our club from August 18 to 24. The Galley and Bar need helpers throughout the week, so if you can spare some time to assist in this worthy cause please let us know. There will be lots of activity every day, both on and off the wate,r so we would like to involve as many club members as possible in what promises to be a hectic but fun week. We are also looking for a fridge we can borrow for the week - any offers?
Don't forget Laugharne Regatta on August 11/12.
