The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot has shown its support of World Polio Eradication Day by planting purple crocuses in the locality of the village.
The flowers were planted, with permission of the Saundersfoot Medical Centre, with some of the crocuses displayed in a rainbow shape to celebrate the support given by the NHS during the Covid crisis.
“At the ends of every rainbow, legend has it there is a pot of gold, so we have planted daffodils to represent our Welsh gold,” said Rotary president Brian Jenkins.
“We hope you all enjoy the floral display as you sit on the ‘friendship bench’ which was fitted outside the entrance to the Medical Centre by the local club members.”
