The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot took advantage of last weekend’s fabulous weather by once again holding a duck race in Saundersfoot Harbour, their first this year. Various club members were involved in setting up their sales tables, ‘selling’ the ducks, starting the race by tossing the ducks into the harbour channel and wading knee-deep to catch the ducks before they escaped to the ocean. Thanks go to two members of Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club who helped catch them.
The club would like to thank the Saundersfoot Harbour Commissioners for permission to hold the race, the harbour team who helped on the day and of course thanks go to the members of the public who bought the ducks which helps the club raise money for charitable causes.
The next duck race is planned for Sunday, July 29, weather permitting, and offers of help at this event will be welcomed.
