What a fantastic summer it’s been for Saundersfoot Rotary Club - with plenty of fundraising events to entertain the community, whilst raise money for worthy causes.
“This summer, we’ve had one of our most successful holiday seasons ever, hosting exciting events that include - multiple Duck Races in Saundersfoot Harbour; sizzling hog roasts on the deck in front of the schooner; fun-filled sandcastle competitions,” said Rotarian Steve Beach.
“We have also proudly supported Saundersfoot Harbour‘s sunset cinema events by providing refreshments at these. And there’s more to come before the end of the summer!
“Together, these events have raised thousands of pounds for charities both locally and overseas.
“The best thing about these events – apart from the huge satisfaction of helping others and supporting our local community – is how much fun they are to organise and take part in!” he continued.
This year, Saundersfoot Rotary Club marks 50 years of service to the local community and beyond, as since its formation in 1974, the club has played a key role in the life of the seaside village - championing local causes, supporting international development, and bringing people together through service, fundraising, friendship, and action.

Over five decades, Saundersfoot Rotary has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities, helped deliver community projects, and supported generations of residents through youth programmes, healthcare funding, and aid to those in need.
As the club celebrates its 50th anniversary, it looks ahead with fresh energy and ambition. With its base at Saundersfoot Sailing Club, it remains at the heart of village life.
“Our club is proud to be diverse, inclusive, and growing – with membership expanding significantly this year,” commented Steve.
“If you’d like to join Saundersfoot Rotary Club or become a Friend of the Club, we’d love to hear from you.”
