Twenty-six members of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot attended the recent handover evening dinner at the Merlewood Hotel.

During the evening, club president, Ian Nicholls, performed his final official duty of the year, inducting two new members, Neil Sefton and Rob Talboys, into the club.

In his address to the members, the outgoing president drew attention and paid tribute to the hard work of secretary Charles Hopkinson over many years.

Rotarian Ian then congratulated and transferred the chain of office to incoming president, Rotarian Brian Miller.

In response, the new president thanked Ian for his efforts and congratulated him on the manner in which he had carried out his duties as president during what had been another very successful year for the club.

Newly elected officers for 2009/2010 were: president, Brian Miller; president nominee, Mac Walapu; treasurer, Harry Smith; secretary, Charles Hopkinson.
