Members of Saundersfoot Rotary Club are encouraging people to support local foodbanks.
“There are opportunities around, particularly in Supermarkets for people to place items of food in collecting baskets near the exit points of these shops,” said Rotarian Brian Jenkins.
“We think they do an excellent job in providing this opportunity to help people who are struggling to feed their families in these difficult financial times.
“All people need a balanced diet, children in particular need good food to grow into healthy adults.
“It may not be convenient for you to give and leave food in public places, but did you know that Rotary are willing to collect food from the privacy of your homes without charge and deliver it to a central location.
“Here, anything that you have donated is sorted and made available to genuine people in real need.
For guidance on this opportunity, please ring Saundersfoot Rotary on 01834 813665 and mention ‘foodbank’.
