Inconsiderate parking has caused concern for some residents in Saundersfoot once again this summer.
Cllr Chris Williams said that he’d received numerous reports of issues from local residents in the village - all of which have raised concerns about vehicles parking irresponsibly, particularly at weekends.
“Access has sometimes been blocked, with some residents unable to exit their driveways due to cars parked directly opposite,” he explained.
“While I appreciate that parking can be difficult during busy periods, in the incidents I attended, nearby village car parks had available spaces. It may simply be that some drivers are avoiding parking fees
“A particular concern raised by multiple residents is what might happen if an emergency vehicle needed urgent access to one of these properties during peak times. Blocked roads could delay emergency response, which in some cases could have serious consequences.
“Unfortunately, many of these streets do not have double yellow lines, making it challenging to enforce or manage parking effectively. If you are affected, please let me know,” he added.
