This popular Saundersfoot Harbour Festival, which marks the end of Pembrokeshire Fish Week, is being held on Sunday.

The family centred, fun day out will take place between 11 am and 5 pm at the Wales International Coastal Centre’s new National Events Deck in Saundersfoot.

A full programme of events is being planned for the day, including - foraging, crabbing, demonstrations, competitions, fancy dress, activities, tug of war, live music and much more.

Mascots Colin the Crab and Stormy Stan will be there along with presenter Lucy Owen.

Saundersfoot’s very own P1 Superstock World Powerboat champions Saundersfoot’s Sam and Daisy Coleman will also be at the event with their new boat.

“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors and locals to this traditionally family fun day out,” said one of the event’s organiser Sara Hicks.

“We are also very excited to be showcasing the brand new Harbour Decking at the Wales International Coastal Centre.

“There will be an ice cream van and a ‘street food’ van on the decking but we are keen to encourage visitors to frequent local bars, cafes and restaurants.

“To this end we are involving The Stone Crab and Mermaid Fish Chips and more as they are close the event area and they will be offering a special ‘Festival themed’ menu options to take away.

“The Harbour Festival will not be serving any alcohol on the decking event area.

“In the, hopefully unlikely, event that the weather is too bad to hold the event on the decking, we will move as many activities as possible indoors.

“The event is being sponsored and supported by a wide range of local groups and organisations and a team of volunteers – without them the event would not happen,” she added.

The event is free for everyone to attend (although some activities will carry a small charge).
