Saundersfoot is stepping out to raise a bumper sum of money for Cancer Research UK during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As reported in last week's issue, breast cancer survivor Patricia Field, of Saundersfoot, has launched the appeal locally, and she is arranging a three-mile Pink Fancy Dress sponsored walk on Sunday from Kilgetty to Saundersfoot. Also helping to fund-raise with their feet on Saturday are dancers from the Hynes School of Irish Dancing. They will be giving displays during a coffee morning at the Regency Hall between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm as well as at the Cambrian Hotel's Pink Cream Tea at 2.30 pm. Last (Thursday) night, a Pink Quiz was held at Saundersfoot Sports Club, while other events planned are a Pink Raffle and Darts at the Old Chemist Inn tonight (Friday) at 7 pm and a grand raffle draw and entertainment at the Mulberry Restaurant tomorrow (Saturday) at 9.30 pm. The events conclude next Tuesday, when the Captain's Table goes Pink from 7 pm and a Pink Disco is held at the Sands Nightclub from 9.30 pm.
