Some weeks ago, some regulars at the Royal Oak in Saundersfoot put their heads together as to how they can support the besieged people of Ukraine.
Immediately one local business agreed to house three families and offer them food, support and work.
Subsequently, this team of supporters offered to wear the the Ukranian colours in support.
One of the guys used to play for Old Penarthians RFC in Penarth and liaised with them for the supply of bobble hats in the team colours: yellow and blue like the Ukrainian flag. From now on the team will be called ‘Saundersfoot Old Pens’!
The ‘Saundersfoot Old Pens’ swapped headgear to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday.
