A year of activities hosted by the United Churches of Saundersfoot is well underway. St. Issell's Church of Wales hosted a charity lunch at the Methodist Church in aid of PATCH, Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship. Gifts of tinned goods are being collected by the church to help those in need. Further charity lunches hosted by the other churches will be held in June and October. The Regency Hall was the venue for a Quiz Night in aid of Christian Aid. This was a most enjoyable social event and the first of three events for the charity. On Sunday evening at 7.30 pm there will be a concert and community singing at the Methodist Church and a Coffee Morning on Tuesday from 10.30 am. The churches will join together for the annual Service for Christian Unity at the Methodist Church on Thursday, May 22, at 10.30 pm, followed by tea and coffee. The annual visit of the Sunshine Centre Beach Mission for three weeks from late July through to mid August will be hosted by St. Issell's. From Monday, August 18, Hebron will run 'Lighthouse' Holiday Bible Club Week each morning from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm. Hebron Baptist Church held a sponsored walk on Easter Monday to raise funds for building a dormitory at a school in Rwanda. The church will host various events throughout the year in support of Rwanda Restored, including a Brass Band Concert in the Regency Hall on Wednesday, August 27, at 7.30 pm. Hebron also collects aid - good as new clothing (no underwear or swimwear), shoes, blankets, glasses and hearing aids supporting the people of Ukraine. Double knitting wool and embroidery skeins are also needed. The church has a monthly craft group making items for Ukraine and Rwanda. The United Churches of Saundersfoot have been asked to host the Saundersfoot Community Fayre again in the Regency Hall on Saturday, October 25.
