Christmas lunch
There was plenty of festive fun at Saundersfoot Bowling Club on Sunday when the annual Christmas lunch was held.
A large gathering of members and friends enjoyed a four-course traditional dinner, followed by a seasonal programme of entertainment.
Grace was said by chairman, Paul Blayney, while after lunch, carol singing was led by Beryl Lawrence and Sue McKehon. Rene Silcox read a poem and sang a duet with Roy Kennion, before the arrival of special guest Father Christmas and Tinkerbell. They performed a short sketch, before handing out presents to everyone in attendance.
The chairman thanked everyone who had made the lunch a success, especially the vice-chairlady Kath Blayney, Diane Ridgen and her daughter Claire, Myrddin and Berwyn Dennis, Angela Roberts and club secretary, Ceris Hewlings. He also thanked Brian Deeley for manning the bar and Mary and George Cavell for taking the lunch money and selling tickets for the raffle. All who donated prizes for the raffle were also thanked.
A Dutch auction for a spectacular Christmas cake, made and donated by Diane Rigden, was won by Brian McKehon, while Father Christmas's stand-up bingo was won by Doug Silcox who received a bottle of whisky.
Don Poole thanked those responsible for the lunch for their efforts on behalf of the guests, while club president, John Evans, thanked the chairman for all his hard work.
All in all, it was another happy and successful event at Saundersfoot Bowling Club.
