Party time
Last Friday, the clubhouse was full to capacity as family, friends and bowling club members all gathered to celebrate popular lady member Chris Haley's birthday.
A splendid time was had by all who particularly enjoyed the wonderful buffet and Chris would like to thank everyone who helped to make the night such a success.
With the club resplendent in balloons and trimmings and liquid refreshment being provided by Brian Deeley and Paul Blayney, a special surprise for Chris was when step-mum Brenda, who was on a Norwegian cruise, 'phoned during the evening to send her best wishes.
All present said that they were now looking forward to her next special birthday so they could do it all again!

Welcome back Steve!
The Saundersfoot club are pleased to see Stevie Poole back bowling after a two year sabbatical.
Steve, a Welsh under 35 international and county skip, has been missed for his infectious humour, both on and off the green, and his bowling prowess.
Steve is a member of the Poole family who have done so much for the club since its inception in 1962.
Grandfather Trevor was a founder member and past county president, father Graham is a past chairman and secretary, Uncle Donnie still plays at the club and is a Welsh international as well as being last year's county president, and brother David until recently also played and skipped for the county.
Welcome back Steve and it was nice to see him accompanied last week as always, by partner Serena and children Adrienne and Dylan.

Two members of Saundersfoot have been chosen to play in the men's county trial at Pembroke Dock next Thursday, May 7.
They are young Joe Dennis and club chairman Paul Blayney and they are wished success.
Next Sunday, there is as usual, a good number of Saundersfoot lady members involved in the North v South county opener at Pendine and they too are sent best wishes for the day.
