Joan Lee

Members of Saundersfoot Bowling Club were among the mourners at the funeral on Friday of Joan Lee.

Joan and husband Barry have been members of the club since moving to Pembrokeshire in 2003.

A former captain of Saundersfoot and the ladies' section as a whole, Joan brought with her an impressive bowls CV when she joined the club, having been a successful bowler previously in Gloucestershire where she held the post of county president.

And it was a fitting tribute that her Saundersfoot clubmates joined with representatives who had travelled from Gloucestershire for the funeral.

As well as undertaking her role as captain, Joan entered the club and county competitions here, and also helped husband Barry when he was competition and tournament secretary at the club.

Members send their condolences to Barry and their family at this sad time.
