Welsh Internationals
Congratulations to Ceris Hewlings and Ann Lewis, who have been selected to play for Wales in the Home International Series to be held in Llandrindod Wells in June. Ceris is to receive her first cap for her country at senior level, having previously played for the Under 25s, while Ann is a stalwart member of the national side. Ceris will play second to Ann in the series (June 16 -22), with Caroline Taylor, of Berriew, at lead, and Val Howell, Guest Memorial, as third. Everyone is delighted with Ceris and Ann's selection and both are wished a successful series.

Saundersfoot 111 Fishguard 62
Saundersfoot got their Carruthers Shield campaign off to a flying start on Monday with a 49-shot victory over Fishguard. John Roberts and his rink led the charge, chalking up a 34-17 win over M. Power, while Dave Poole and co scored on 10 consecutive ends in the middle of the game without reply as they romped to a 16- shot triumph over Ken Grace. Captain Myrddin Dennis picked up three fives on the way to his 27-14 success over T. Evans, while Mal Bishop and his rink finished strongly to win 23 -19. At the 16th end, Saundersfoot were 13-19 adrift, but they went on a shots scoring spree as they scored on every remaining end to win by four.
