A seaside business with a difference has just been snapped up by a consortium of five people.

The freehold and trading rights of Saundersfoot beach were put on the market for £250,000 last summer, by owner Mr. Adrian Alford, who had run his family beach business for 10 years with his wife Nicola and son Toby.

Ownership of the 2.2 acres of beach, part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park gives the new owners, the right to sell ice creams and rent water sports equipment.

The consortium taking over have suggested that they have no plans to make any major changes, adding that they wished to ‘preserve and enhance’ the popular beach -one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Wales.
