Last Saturday, the Swingers held their first team event of the year. Teams of three took part in a 3 -2-1 competition and the scoring was generally very creditable. The winning team comprised Steve Keating, Peter Rossi and Phil Goodridge, whose heights resembled the title of the competition. Their excellent 42 pts made them clear winners and this equated to a fabulous score of 74 gross. The other leading scores were Martin Morris, Colin Murphy and John Stenson 37 pts, Neil Lovatt, Tony Rogers and Paul James 36 pts, Ross James, Jerry Whitehouse and Rees Davies 36 pts and Barrie Frayne, Nick Thomas and Roger Schooling 35 pts. The Annual Ladies Night Dinner-Dance will be held on St. Davids Day, Saturday, March 1, at Tenby Golf Club. The evening will include a four-course meal with a Welsh theme and entertainment. Dai Skyrme is organising Ladies Night. Deposits need to be paid as soon as possible. The next Swingers' team competition will take place during the afternoon prior to Ladies Night. Gloucester is the venue for this years's Swingers' Tour. The dates are Friday to Sunday, September 12 to 14. A limited number of places are available. Richard Ormond is collecting deposits.
