Recently, the Friends of South Pembrokeshire Hospital purchased a 'Sara Steady' hoist which greatly helps patients and staff alike when moving people from bed/chair to possibly a wheelchair or to stand up and maybe walk slowly with it.

This piece of apparatus greatly aids recovery from many types of illnesses or accidents. There are now three of them in the hospital which means that occasionally one goes with a patient to their home for a short time when they leave the hospital to recuperate.

In the photograph you can see (from left) Elizabeth Greenslade, Helen Stamp, Tilly Morrissey, Sue Paterson-Jones and Helen Howells with the 'Sara Steady' hoist. All are members of staff, except for Sue, who is chairman of the Friends of South Pembrokeshire Hospital.
