Llandissilio's Santa Runs, launched in 2006, have been such a roaring success that the village will be holding the fourth annual Santa Run on Sunday, December 13, at 1.15 pm.
Spokesman Rob Phillips said: "The success of the first three Pembrokeshire Santa Runs has exceeded all expectations, with over £19,000 being raised for local charities.
"Last year, over 200 runners all dressed as Santa Claus ran through Llandissilio along the five kilometre course to raise £7,000 for charity.
"This year's event promises to be bigger and better, with a new course, extra categories for veterans, juniors and prizes."
The day will comprise of two separate events, the children's Santa Dash, and the adults five kilometre Santa Claus Race.
In the adult's race, participants compete in the individual and or team competitions by running the five kilometre course around the village of Llandissilio dressed as Santa Claus.
Runners of varying levels of ability take part with numerous 'social teams', running alongside the more serious runners.
Continued Rob: "One team had the ingenious idea of running the race in the opposite direction and hiding in the Angel Inn public house until the other runners caught up and then rejoined the race! This is a fine example of demonstrating that cheating does not pay, unless you are an event sponsor like Ann Youngman, the landlady of the Angel Inn!"

Spokeswoman Anna Williams added: "The charities to benefit this year are Ty Hafan Yr Hosbis i Blant yng Nghymru (The Children's Hospice in Wales); Canolfan Therapi Parlys Ymledol Hope (Neyland Multiple Sclerosis Hope Therapy Centre) and Cymdeithas Maes Chwarae (Llandysilio Playingfield Association).
"We hope that more runners will join us in 2009 to contribute to these good causes and to enjoy the festive fun and entertainment of the day."
