Santa made his annual visit Pembroke last Friday evening and was welcomed by a large gathering of excited youngsters.
The switch was flicked outside St. Michael's Church by Santa, assisted by the Mayor of Pembroke, Clr. Melanie Phillips, and the Rev. Canon Roger Jones.
Prior to the arrival of Santa, the crowd was entertained by local entertainer Neil Thomas and following the switch-on, festivities continued inside the church, with bell ringing from the ladies of Monkton Bell Ringers, festive music and children receiving a gift from Santa. Refreshments were provided by the kind ladies of St. Michael's Church.
Before returning to Lapland, a very happy Santa commented that he was delighted with the lovely welcome he received from the people of Pembroke and wished everyone a Happy Christmas.
