Tenby Arts Festival is pleased to announce the winners for the competition which has been running since August. Many thanks goes to everyone who sent in entries, and the organisers hope that everyone had a lot of fun making their sandcastles and sculptures.
There were a wide variety of entries and it was very hard for the judges to just choose three winners, so if you are not among them, fear not, your entry was excellent!
The winner was a very neat and symmetrical castle sent in by Helen Jones of New Tredegar.
Second prize went to an entry built in and around the rocks on the edge of the beach – architecture to fit its location. This was from the ‘English family’.
Third prize was an effort from two young lads who the organisers don’t seem to have any contact details for – so if it is you, get in touch!
Although the winners are actually more traditional castles, there were also some great innovative sculptures which deserve a special mention – a smiling fish, a flower made of shells, the head of a cat, and an NHS rainbow.
As one competition ends, another begins. Look out for another exciting competition coming your way soon - with details of the Tenby Arts Festival Photo.
