“I am announcing tonight that I am standing as a candidate in the forthcoming County Council Elections as an Independent Voice for the Tenby South Ward,” Cllr. Sam Skyrme-Blackhall said tonight.
“We are so fortunate to live here and I love my town and the people of Tenby. It would be an honour to represent you on Pembrokeshire County Council. This is our Town, was our playground, our classroom, for many our first workplace and most importantly it is our home.
“I have been a Town Councillor for nearly five years but in that time, I have seen enough to know that wonderful as Tenby is, there are things that could be better. I want there to be more emphasis on the needs of our community. There is something special about the Tenby community and we need to protect it.
“Throughout the Covid pandemic, as Mayor, I have seen how people working together can make a difference. I want to see us sharing ideas, sharing plans and working together more to make them happen.
“It is time to put the people that live here full-time first. It is time for a better deal for people that work here and of course we want our town to look at its best for ourselves and for our friends and visitors.
“So I am standing to be a new voice for Tenby - not just to talk about our priorities but to get things done. I will be saying more about my plans in the coming days and weeks but for now I just wanted to share my news.
“I am standing for election, I am standing for Tenby.”
