Picton Castle was the setting for the recent wedding of Mr. Damian Michael Sheppard, a sales executive, and Miss Lisa Vaughan-Johnston, a primary school teacher.
The groom is the son of Mike and Julia Sheppard, of 7 Parsonage Green, Parsonage Lane, Begelly, while the bride is the daughter of Don and Gwenda Vaughan-Johnston, of Hyde Lea, Wisemans Bridge.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a strapless oyster satin gown, with full skirt and train trimmed with Swarovski crystals. She carried a shower bouquet of cream flowers, green berries and foliage.
Bridesmaids were friends Andrea Horley and Melanie Meyer.
Best man was Shaun Kettle, while ushers were Matt Hayes and Jamie Birkenshaw, all friends.
The service was performed by registrar, Barbara Eynon, and was followed by a reception at the Wisemans Bridge Inn.
The couple, who spent their honeymoon in Mexico, are making their home in Bridgend.
