Soroptimist International of Tenby were delighted to receive a voucher for £100 donated by Sainsbury's towards their fundraising event this week. The Soroptimists have organised a Friendship Evening with a buffet supper to raise funds for the Harriet Davis Trust, which is the charity chosen by current president, Dr. Anne Kelly. Michelle Davies, store manager Tenby, said: "Our store is at the heart of the community and it is important that we play our part to support it. When Pam Maggs of Soroptimist International approached us, we just wanted to help as much as we could." Sainsbury's Community Budget scheme was set up to help local charitable groups and is partially funded by the sales of its Bag for Life. ' "When customers purchase these bags they are not only making an environmental choice, they are contributing to their community as well," said Michelle.

Sainsbury’s PR ambassador Lorraine Jones and staff members Steve Bland and Sarah Brown, present a voucher for £100 to Pam Maggs and ladies of Soroptimist International, Tenby.
