The arrival of Sainsbury's in Tenby will be discussed at a business brainstorm taking place on Monday.

The supermarket chain has announced that it will be taking over the Somerfield store in the town, making it the only Sainsbury's west of Swansea.

"While this is great news, we must be aware that one swallow does not make a summer," said South Pembrokeshire AM Angela Burns, who is organising the business summit.

The event will be attended by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, the Town Council, Tenby Chamber of Commerce and Pembrokeshire County Council.

"We have had a good response from businesses, both small and large, who have expressed an interest in coming to the meeting," added Mrs. Burns.

"It will be an opportunity for businessmen and women at the sharp end to talk to the policy makers and planners and to come up with ideas to help get Tenby back on its feet."

The meeting is open to all Tenby businesses and will take place at the Fourcroft Hotel at 7 pm on Monday.

"Anyone who runs any type of business in Tenby or the surrounding area is welcome to come, but please do call my office on 862943 to book a place first," added Mrs. Burns.
