Sageston Community Primary School is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week with a host of Jubilee events.

Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Clr. Leslie Raymond, officially opened the week's celebrations on Monday and is seen here cutting a special commemorative cake with help from some of the school's pupils.

The cake was made by school governor, Mrs. Mary Squirrel.

Also to mark the anniversary, Clr. Raymond presented the school with a plaque from the county council, while a lovespoon sculpted by members of Carew Wesley Youth Club was also presented.
