Further safer routes connecting areas of the seaside village of Saundersfoot for pedestrians are being considered.

Recently, County Councillor for the south ward Cllr Chris Williams met Highway engineers on site in Saundersfoot, explaining there is still a possibility of a safe footpath down to Coppet Hall.

“Ecology reports have been submitted and funding has been put into place to work with the various landowners regarding the placement of a pavement for investigation reports,” he explained.

“The Welsh Government criteria will have to be met regarding grants but due to the access they will look at all the options available.

“This has come a long way over the last twelve months but there is still an awful lot to do and this isn’t guaranteed.

“There are many challenges and, hopefully, in the future this will be something that I will be speaking positively about.

“I would say that there are many involved in the process and that this takes time - but I want to remain positive as this could be a big benefit to the whole village,” added Cllr Williams.
