Lloyd Vitols, who lives in Loughborough, Leicestershire, grandson of John and Iris Griffiths, of Tenby, is seen here carrying the Queen's Jubilee Baton, as it continues its epic journey through the country.

Having started at Buckingham Palace four months ago, the baton travelled thousands of miles before hitting Leicestershire. It has already been to 23 Commonwealth countries and is now on a 50-day tour of the United Kingdom.

Lloyd Vitols was among the Loughborough people who took part in the historic journey.

The baton contains the Queen's message which will be read at the opening of this year's Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
