Last week, we carried a brief article on vandalism to sponsorship boards at Tenby United's Heywood Lane rugby ground. Little did we know at the time that one of the three boards damaged was our own. "The boards will probably cost about £300 to replace," stated club secretary," Keith Walker. "The incident followed on from what was probably the same gang slashing the pads on the scrummage machine - and that cost us £150. "It's very sad that youngsters should be doing this," he said. Agreeing, club chairman Mike Evans said it was particularly disappointing as the club was running smoothly at present, with the ground and pitch being in excellent condition. "Unfortunately, money will now have to be diverted to pay for this damage," he said. "People will say that there's nothing for the youngsters to do around here, but that's not true," he added. "There's lots going on in Tenby and plenty of organisations and clubs they can be involved in, including our own. "It's a great shame they have to resort to this sort of behaviour"
