Sir, When Pembrokeshire County Council are sending out our next delivery of plastic waste bags - the black ones in particular - could I ask them to please do something to make them a lot thicker and stronger, like they used to be. Today's bags are like tissue paper. I had to use four the other day to take the rubbish up my drive, as they all kept splitting open. Where is the saving in that? It has been noted that in Tenby and seaside areas, they supply seagull proof bags, which have been a success. Well please think about all the council tax payers and senior citizens who have to put up with bags splitting open. Surely their priorities should be looked into as well. Seagulls don't have to pay council tax!
P. B. Skey (Miss),
