LOCAL artist and author, Margaret Burtenshaw-Haines, Hon. Lady Laird of Camster, has received a royal invitation to write a poem for HRH Prince William in celebration of his marriage to Kate Middleton.

When he was a baby, Margaret did a painting of Prince William for Prince Charles.

Princess Anne also has a painting of hers.

Margaret has had a lot of poems published and one story. She has accepted the honour of the invitation and has written her poem.

The best poem from the few that are chosen will be framed and given as a wedding present to the Royal couple on their wedding day.
