CONGRATULATIONS to Anna Phillips from Clunderwen, who has been awarded a scholarship to study the harp at the Royal Academy of Music, London, in September 2018.
She was first given the opportunity to learn the harp at Narberth CP School and then at Sir Thomas Picton School with Marian O’Toole.
Two years ago Anna started having lessons with Claire Jones, formerly the harpist to HRH the Prince of Wales, whom she met at her harp course in Cardigan.
She has recently been awarded the ISM South Wales Centre Prize for obtaining the highest ABRSM grade 8 distinction mark on any instrument for 2017 in South Wales.
Anna is looking forward to going on tour to America with the American Youth Harp Ensemble and the Claire Jones Harp School in August this year.
