I note with interest your report on the completion of work on the Bluestone roundabout. You report the cost as £750,000 and go on to state that the 'works were funded by Bluestone'. This is incorrect. Pembrokeshire County Council Cabinet in its meeting in September 2006 agreed to fund the full cost of this project until such time as the whole project is completed, i.e. an interest deferred loan from the council taxpayers for an indeterminate period. Small businesses struggling with the burden of business rates in the Tenby area might like to take note! Michael Williams, Tenby.
