President Rob Elward led a group of Rotarians and friends from the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland on a visit to the impressive Technium Project located at the Pembrokeshire Science and Technology Park, near the Cleddau Bridge, Pembroke Dock, recently. They were taken on a fascinating tour of the centre by manager David Thomas. Technium is a network of innovation centres nurturing young technology businesses and providing relevant knowledge, support and physical facilities to help them succeed. Technium Pembrokeshire is a partnership between Pembrokeshire County Council, Swansea University and the Welsh Assembly Government. In thanking Mr. Thomas, president Rob said that no-one could help but be impressed by what was on offer at Technium. "In today's technological market, it must be quite a formidable task for young entrepreneurs with bright ideas to get their invention on to the market," he said. "Technium can be regarded as facilitators and are able to provide huge benefits to innovators. I urge those who may have such ideas, especially in the early stages of development, to get in touch with Technium to explore the possibilities of how to progress with their idea." On the way home, the party enjoyed an excellent meal at the Carew Inn to conclude an excellent evening.
