The 14th annual Charity Quiz Evening organised by the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot was held on March 14 in the enjoyable and convivial atmosphere of Merlewood Hotel, Saundersfoot.
Twenty-four teams took part in a general knowledge and trivia quiz, compiled once again by veteran quizmaster, Rotarian Ian Nicholls. The quiz consisted of 100 questions of varying difficulty and topicality.
This year the winners were 'The Haymakers' with 79 points, and they received the trophy shield and first prize from club president, Keith Leighfield.
The 'Pembroke Flyers' (75 pts) came second.
Other teams taking part included - NSPCC, Camera Club, Tenby Fossils, Green Devils, Saundersfoot Probus, Saundersfoot Inner Wheel, Tenby Sharks, Senior Moments, Woodpeckers, Tenby Rotary Club, Tenby Tangent, Saundersfoot Sports Club, IDUNNO, Swinging Sefties, Guide Dogs, Barnardos, Forlorn Hope, Woodentops, Norfolk Immigrants, Fuzzynuts, Probus Ladies and Castle Viewers.
The winning team and runners-up kindly returned their prizes and over £400 was raised during the evening. Saundersfoot Rotary Club want to express their sincere thanks to all those attending for their support.
