The Rotary Club of Tenby's annual Medieval Fayre held last week at the spectacular and historic setting of Manorbier Castle, proved to be a great success.

Following last year's deluge of rain, local Rotarians had been praying for fine weather for their main fund-raising event of the year. Thankfully, those prayers were answered, and the club was blessed with a magnificent sunny evening, together with a large crowd, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the fayre and its many attractions.

Live music was provided by Tenby Brass Band and local duo Duncan and Rebecca Whitehurst, while the Carew Collegiate of Knights Templar performed re-enactments and drills for the appreciative crowd. All through the evening, 'James the Juggler,' worked tirelessly, initially as a stilt walker, and then with his circus skills workshop, before rounding off with a spectacular juggling display.

The funds raised on the evening will help the Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs of Tenby meet their charity and good cause commitments for the year ahead, and on behalf of both clubs, Rotary Club president, Richard Caley, expressed sincere thanks to everyone who had contributed towards the success of the evening, both helpers and visitors alike.
