The sun shone last Sunday, when the president of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot, John Walker-Smith, presented Liz Talboys, souvenir secretary for the Saundersfoot Branch of the RNLI, with a cheque for £300.

Everyday somewhere in the UK and Eire the RNLI and lifeguards are saving and preserving life, keeping us all safer on the beaches and at sea.

To be able to make these charitable donations the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot hold numerous fundraising events, with the next one today (Friday) being a Duck Race first in Saundersfoot Harbour, at approximately 3.30 pm, followed by a Pig Roast on the decking.

There will be numerous other charity stalls there to tempt you during the afternoon.

“Without the help and support of Saundersfoot Harbour Commissioners and their staff, the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot would not be able to hold these events,” said Rob Talboys treasurer.

“Your support of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot, helps us to support, local, national and international charities.”
