All the plans are now in place for what is sure to be another excellent Annual Mediaeval Fayre, organised by the Rotary Club of Tenby at the magnificent and historical setting of Manorbier Castle. The event is to be held next Wednesday evening, July 25.

The fun will start at 6 pm, when the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. John Griffiths, and his attendants, will perform the opening ceremony and, along with the usual much-enjoyed stalls, such as Bat the Rat, Wheel of Fortune and the Coconut Shy, live musical entertainment will be provided by popular local group, The Rain Kings, and also Tenby Brass Band. This will be accompanied with entertainment for all the family, but particularly for the children, by 'James the Juggler' and 'Circus Workshop'.

Also in attendance will be The Carew Collegiate of Knights Templar, who will not only add colour to the proceedings, but will stage some re- enactments and drills to entertain the crowd. A licensed bar and barbecue of hot food will be available, not forgetting of course the always- excellent Welsh cakes, baked by ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Tenby.

With all proceeds from the event going to help Rotary and Inner Wheel charities and good causes, president of the Rotary Club of Tenby, Rotarian Stephen Williams, extends a very warm welcome to everyone, and, as this is the Tenby Rotary Club's main fund-raising event of the year, he hopes that as many people as possible will turn up, for what, over the last quarter century, has proved to be an eagerly-anticipated and much-enjoyed family event.

Stephen said: "The Rotary Club's Mediaeval Fayre is an ideal way for all the family, both local residents and holiday visitors alike, to spend an evening, enjoying not only the attractions of the fayre (live music, food and drink and all the entertainment), but also taking in the magnificent surroundings of the historic and breathtaking setting of Manorbier Castle."

In addition this year, he is delighted to report that all who visit the Fayre will receive a free draw ticket with their admission and one lucky person will win the Grand Prize Package valued at several hundred pounds, when the draw is made at 8 pm.

The fantastic prizes included in the package are a holiday for four at Kiln Park, a 'Yes Limo' limousine ride, four tickets to Tenby Cinema (including sweets) and a meal for four, including wine, at the New Overlander Restaurant, Penally.
