Michael spoke with great interest on his company's role as the architects for the development of the former Tenby lifeboat house into what is now a luxurious and unique property with what is surely one of the greatest outlooks worldwide.
The project featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs, bringing very favourable publicity for Tenby to a large television audience. The programme presenter, Kevin McCloud, was full of praise for the project and its wonderful setting.
During his talk, Michael spoke with great passion of the challenges they had faced (and overcome) with such a unique development.
The conversion of the old lifeboat house into a dream home was the vision of owners Philomena and Tim O'Donovan, and they appointed Argent Architects to bring that dream into reality. Michael, his associate Adam Chandler, the teams of builders, contractors and craftsmen, and, of course, Philomena and Tim, all then worked tirelessly to achieve the stunning final outcome, pictures of which, along with pictures of the work in progress, were included in Michael's presentation
Following his talk, a sincere vote of thanks was given to him on behalf of all present by Rotarian Richard Ormond, who congratulated all involved for the successful development, and also thanked Philomena and Tim for kindly agreeing for the club to see the photos of their dream home.
Also present at the meeting was a visitor from Glasgow, Mrs. June Kempsell. June, a lifelong friend of Tenby Rotarian Jim Fleming, is a television production executive for BBC Scotland, who is currently working on the BBC programme Antiques Roadtrip, now showing on BBC2.
