Last Friday, the Rotary Club of Tenby held its annual Bonfire Night at Tenby United RFC Ground in Heywood Lane. The event was very well attended as usual and throughout the evening there was a long queue for burgers and hotdogs.

There were two impressive firework displays. The first one at 7 pm for the younger children and the main display at 9 pm which was superb.

The bonfire burnt well throughout the evening. The competition for the best guy was won by the children of Ysgol Hafan Y Mor.

In addition to the food and drink plus several stalls run by well-known charities, there was various entertainment in the form of fairground rides, junior rugby training and a disco etc..

It stayed dry throughout, but the temperature dropped towards the end of the event.

Tenby Rotary Club wish to thank all those who attended, especially the families and the well behaved local teenagers who always support the event.

In due course, the proceeds from the bonfire night will be distributed between several deserved local, national and international charities.

Anyone interested in joining the Rotary Club of Tenby, should contact the president, Tom Cullen, on 01834-811006, or speak with the secretary on 01834-842127.
