The Rotary Club of Tenby were very pleased this week to present the Paul Sartori Foundation, the only Hospice at Home Care Service in Pembrokeshire, with a cheque for £1,000.

The Paul Sartori Foundation, currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, was one of the main charities chosen to be supported during his year in office by the president of the Rotary Club of Tenby, Rotarian Alan Jones.

The money raised included the collection at the annual Rotary and Inner Wheel Carol Service held at St. Mary's Church, Tenby, the raffle and other donations at the president's 'Fish Night' and donations to the club's 'Wishing Well'.

The cheque was presented by Rotary Club of Tenby president-elect Brian Charles and club secretary Rotarian Graham Fry. It was received by the Paul Sartori Foundation's charity administrator, Sandra Dade, and trustee Sarah Alderman, who were delighted to attend the club to receive the cheque, with both ladies sincerely thanking president Alan and the Rotarians for their support, which they greatly appreciated.

Sandra stressed that donations such as this were extremely important for the foundation, and that the support they received from the community accounted for a third of their overall income, and was essential to allow the Foundation's clinical team to continue with their services.

Sandra also gratefully accepted an invitation to come along and speak to the club at a later date about the important work of the foundation, which provides much valued support for people in our community in very difficult circumstances.
