TENBY adventurer, Rosie Swale Pope spent the New Year in Lithuania, as she continues her voyage around the world on two feet.

In the latest update on her website, Rosie, whose two-year trek will see her cover 20,000 miles, is said to be way ahead of schedule and 'clearly going like a steam train'.

She crossed into Lithuania at Sangruda, two days ahead of schedule on December 29, after a very pleasant Christmas, with local people on her travels being very hospitable and giving her lunch.

The website reports that the whole area is decorated very festively with trees and lights everywhere, and Rosie, who is continuing to sleep out, has been to church, sung carols and has even attended a christening.

Rosie, who left her home in Tenby, on her 57th birthday at the beginning of October, is now heading north to Latvia.
